Description
PRO-POXY 50-1 is an extremely low viscosity, solvent-free, two-component epoxy
healer-sealer and primar designed both for the protection of new concrete and for the
preservation of partially deteriorated concrete to extend its service life.
PRO-POXY 50-1 is thin enough to completely penetrate cracks, yet has sufficient
rheology to leave no starved gluelines. It meets ASTM-C-881 Types I, II, IV & V, Grade
1, Classes B & C for load-bearing applications. PRO-POXY 50-1 is an excellent
alternative to dangerous methacrylates.

Application
STEP 1. Patch deteriorated
concrete with Unitex PRO-POXY 2500.
STEP 2. Clean surface by
abrasive blasting.
STEP 3. Mechanically mix
component A with component B at 2:1 by volume with a Jiffy type mixer and
variable speed drill at 300 rpm for a minimum of 3 minutes.
STEP 4. Immediately
flood-coat PRO-POXY 50-1 onto concrete.
STEP 5. Distribute evenly
and work into concrete for minimum of 5 minutes for maximum penetration.
Keep ponding PRO-POXY 50-1 into cracks until refusal. Remove all excess with
a squeegee on smooth surfaces and a broom on textured surfaces. |
Surface should appear damp but with no film buildup or ponding prior to broaqdcast or subsequent overlay.
NOTE: If used as a primer, proceed with overlay application while PRO-POXY
50-1 remains tacky.
STEP 6. For healer-sealer
application, broadcast oven-dried silica sand to refusal. After initial
cure, remove excess sand.
